Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Designer II to develop moderately complex part designs and improve legacy products. You will work with Design Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Assembly teams, applying SolidWorks CAD and GD&T to generate precise drawings and specifications.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology and 3–6 years in a related environment, with occasional travel and a focus on quality and safety in a firearms industry setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent with 3–6 years in a R&D environment.
• Ability to clearly convey ideas verbally and in writing.
• Proficient CAD skills to create parametric solid models and fully mated assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Create robust CAD models and fully mated assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Produce functionally dimensioned drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T information.
• Process ECOs through PLM for part/assembly revisions.
• Assist with prototype parts manufacturing and inventory management.
• Support testing, data compilation, and continuous improvement.
