Blue Origin in Space Coast, FL is seeking a Lunar-CNC Machinist & Programmer (III/IV) to join a fast-paced development team. The role covers hands-on machining, CAM programming, and first-article builds to deliver flight-relevant hardware.

You will review models, define tooling and setups, and manage inspection documentation for repeatable results. The candidate will work with 3-axis/5-axis mills and turning centers, using Siemens NX CAM and HAAS equipment, while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined CNC machining and programming experience producing tight-tolerance hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5 at a working level.
• Experience holding tolerances to ±0.001 in or tighter where required; select inspection methods accordingly.
• Proficiency with shop math and basic computer skills (Windows, documentation tools).
• Ability to troubleshoot process issues and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts.
• Create and prove-out Siemens NX CAM programs, including tooling and cutting parameters.
• Perform complete job execution from planning through inspection with setups, offsets, and documentation.
• Execute first-article and development builds; optimize feeds, speeds, and toolpaths for cycle time and finish.
• Machine and finish components in aluminum, stainless, Inconel, Monel with controlled tool life and heat management.
• Perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and bore gauges.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions; support metrology and documentation.
