Job summary

TECOMET in Florida seeks a CNC Machinist I to produce machined parts by operating a CNC machine, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The role supports continuous improvement and customer-driven innovation under a win-first culture.

Weekend 2nd shift applies; a high school diploma or GED is required with production experience. Preferred are an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D).
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and/or make minor offsets for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by working to OOQ standards and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Achieve productivity targets and seek improvements.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues and participate in resolution.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
