Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking a CNC Machinist I for a Fri-Sun 6 am–6 pm FLEX shift. You will program, set up, and operate CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision prototype and production parts, using Mastercam and CAD/CAM tools.

You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize setups, inspect parts, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Milling or Lathe operator with setup knowledge.
• Able to read blueprints and use calipers.
• Familiar with Mastercam and CAD/CAM tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling and lathe machines and run jobs.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, prints, and instructions.
• Maintain organization of jobs and materials inventory.
• Perform cleaning and general maintenance on machines and shop equipment.
• Inspect parts and ensure quality standards.
