Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota seeks a CNC Machinist I for Fri-Sun 6 pm–6 am FLEX shift. The role programs, sets up, and operates CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision prototype and production parts.

You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize setups and deliver high-quality components that meet exact specs. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience with CNC milling/lathe setups, blueprint reading, and tools like Mastercam,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC milling/lathe with setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and use calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling/lathe and run jobs to spec.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD prints and instructions.
• Ensure on-time delivery and maintain part quality.
• Perform machine maintenance and cleanliness.
• Inspect parts and solve machining issues.
