Job summary

Protolabs is seeking a CNC Machinist for the third shift (11pm–7am, Sunday to Thursday). You will set up and run CNC milling and lathe equipment, prepare CAM files, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The role requires blueprint reading and basic programming knowledge, with a focus on quality and timely delivery. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC milling or CNC lathe setup and some programming.
• Familiarity with Mastercam, CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines and run jobs meeting tight tolerances.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, prints, or verbal instructions.
• Ensure on-time delivery by maintaining part quality and timely throughput.
• Inspect parts and verify measurements using calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Keep a clean, organized production area and follow safety and quality standards.
