Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machinist for 1st shift in Rumford, RI to set up and operate CNC lathes and related equipment, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining workflow.

The role requires programming and operating CMMs, heat treating components, marking parts, and performing bench work such as deburring. A High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years in CNC turning or milling are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a Machinist or Tool & Die program OR equivalent working experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC Turning or Milling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes and other equipment within the cell.
• Set up and operate conventional and programmable CMMs.
• Set up and operate ovens and freezer to heat treat and stabilize components.
• Mark components using dot peen, ink stamp, electro-etch, vibro-peen, and laser.
• Use measurement instruments to inspect parts and ensure tolerances.
