Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machinist - 2nd Shift in Rumford, RI to operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components. You will perform machine setups, in-process inspections, tool changes, and heat-treat related tasks while supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

The role requires setting up Okuma CNC lathes, conventional and programmable CMMs, and running machines for continuous production while maintaining tolerances as close as .0001 inches.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Machinist or Tool & Die program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years CNC turning or milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and other equipment in the cell.
• Perform in-process inspections and adjust tooling as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to 5S and safety practices.
• Work from blueprints and setup sheets to achieve tight tolerances.
