Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Rumford, RI is seeking a Machinist - 1st shift. The role sets up and operates CNC and manual machinery to produce precision components with tight tolerances. You will perform in-process inspections, adjust tooling, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The position offers a 7 am to 3 pm shift, a general guideline salary of $36.34 per hour, and a 60-day probation period. Unionized facility with standard company benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Machinist or Tool & Die program or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC Turning or Milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components.
• Perform in-process inspections and adjust tooling/fixtures as needed.
• Maintain tolerances to as close as .0001" and use measurement instruments for part inspection.
• Adhere to 5S, safety, and department standard practices.
• Collaborate with Engineers on process improvements and efficiency.
