Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; or minimum three years related CNC Lathe operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Scan manufacturing orders for labor and machine time reporting.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings and manufacturing orders; locate CNC code and transfer to machine; modify program as needed.
• Prepare and preset tools from set-up sheets; assemble cutting tools into holders; load into machine tool changer.
• Lift or move up to 25 pounds to load tools and workpieces.
• Perform first piece measurements and periodic quality checks; promote quality and machine performance improvements.
• Stop machine to change cutting tools and verify measurements against blueprints.
• Identify program/specification errors and discuss with supervision to resolve issues.
• Perform basic math and use MRP software to complete inspection documentation.
• Use tool checklist to perform minor maintenance on machines; maintain a clean work area.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities; maintain positive working relationships; support team objectives.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions; perform other duties as assigned.
