Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CNC Machine Repair Technician II for the Durham, NC site, working on facility machine tools with emphasis on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. The role is 1st shift with typical hours 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with possible variation based on demand.

Responsibilities include safety evaluations, following lockout/tag-out procedures, reading schematics, and using CMMS for maintenance scheduling.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of maintenance experience in a large industrial environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work at heights on aerial/scissor lifts up to 30 feet.
Must pass pre-employment substance abuse test.
U.S. work authorization; no sponsorship.
Ability to obtain a security access badge at client site.
Overtime and various shift schedules may be required.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform equipment evaluations.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical control and operating systems per CMMS.
Respond to work orders and provide service feedback while complying with codes and standards.
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/prints.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
Operate diagnostic tools to support energy efficiency solutions.
Differentiate root causes across product, process, mechanical and electrical domains.
