Job summary

AMETEK in Whitsett, NC seeks an Electronics Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing. You will diagnose malfunctions, restore equipment, and provide skilled technical support across production areas.

The candidate should have 5+ years in relevant fields, PLC programming skills, CNC troubleshooting, and robust safety awareness. Overtime may be required in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Computer experience/operation and PLC programming is necessary.
• CNC machine troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical devices to component level.
• Advanced electrical knowledge in an industrial environment, including 480-volt 3 phase (preferred).
• Overtime willing to work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production equipment and electromechanical systems.
• Plan and perform work using electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.
• Investigate new equipment and improvements for safety and cost considerations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical machinery including controls, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
• Document and maintain maintenance records and performance data.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Train and assist other maintenance personnel.
