Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CNC Machine Repair Technician IV at the subject matter expert level to join our Facilities – Operations and Maintenance team in Durham, NC. Typical hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM with variation based on business demand.

The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting electrical, electronic, mechanical, and controls needs of automated equipment in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or 5+ years' maintenance experience.
• Must pass pre-employment substance abuse test.
• This position requires valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain security badge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment across the facility.
• Align and level CNC machinery for optimal performance.
• Provide updates on repairs to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Collaborate with Facilities Engineers and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity.
• Read and interpret electrical/electronic/mechanical schematics.
