Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install equipment, train customers, and perform warranty repairs on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. The role operates from home with overnight travel, servicing customers primarily in the Phoenix, AZ region.

Duties include installation and calibration, diagnosing electrical, mechanical and software issues, testing operation after service, and completing detailed service reports. This position reports to the Arizona Technology Center.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of Field Service experience.
• Read/understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to work solo or in a team while completing tasks.
• Ability to understand PLCs.
• HYD/Pneumatic circuits.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily; heavier lifting periodically.
• Ability to solve problems based on the situation.
• Sound writing and reporting skills.
• Strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after installation or repair.
• Train customers on functions of the machines.
• Travel with overnight stays as required.
• Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed.
