Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install CNC lathes and machining centers, train customers, and perform warranty and after‑warranty service. Regional responsibilities require travel from the home base, primarily around St. Louis, MO, with overnight stays.

This role reports to the Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL. Duties include installation, diagnostics, and repairs, plus documenting work and learning new machine features as they become available.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair.
• Ability to travel overnight or for multiple nights.

Responsibilities

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
• Train customers on machine functions.
• Complete installation and service reports documenting work performed.
