Job summary

Mazak Corporation seeks a Field Service Technician to install CNC Lathes and Machining Centers, train customers, and perform warranty and post-warranty service. Field assignments are regional with overnight travel from home to customer facilities in Windsor Locks, CT area.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
• 3–7 years of Field Service experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of PLC, HYD/Pneumatic circuits.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and more periodically.

Responsibilities

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repairs.
• Train customers on machine functions.
• Travel overnight or stay multiple nights for assignments.
• Learn new machine features and report on installations and repairs.
