Job summary

Mazak North America is seeking a Field Service Technician to install CNC Lathes and Machining Centers at customer sites, train operators, and perform warranty repairs from a home-based base. Travel is required, with overnight stays as needed, servicing customers primarily in the Bohemia, NY region.

The role reports to the Northeast Technology Center in Hartford, CT, and requires hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and software issues, with emphasis on safe, reliable machine

Qualifications

2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
1–3 years of Field Service experience.
High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning and wiring.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems at customer sites.
Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
Train customers on functions of the machines.
Travel as required with overnight or multi-night stays.
Complete reports documenting installation, repairs and parts installed.
