Job summary

CNC Field Service Engineer position with a national travel requirement, focusing on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CNC machine tools. Role emphasizes strong electrical and mechanical skills, plus remote technical support experience.

Reporting to the CNC Field Service Manager, candidates can be based anywhere east of the Mississippi, with preference near major airports in IL, TN, KY, AL, OH.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machine tool maintenance experience (electrical & mechanical).
• 5+ years of remote technical support in the machine tool industry.

Responsibilities

• Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options/accessories.
• Leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments for peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
• Identify root causes and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
• Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
• Provide customer training and assist with project coordination as needed.
• Travel extensively (100%) including overnights and weekends as required.
