Job summary

Absolute Machine Tools, Inc. is seeking a CNC Field Engineer to travel to client manufacturing sites to install, maintain and diagnose complex CNC machinery such as mills, lathes and routers.

The role involves hands-on repair, calibration and customer instruction to keep equipment running at peak efficiency. You will work with FANUC, Mitsubishi and Siemens controls, read electrical schematics and blueprints, and perform root-cause analysis with precision metrology tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree a plus.
• Min 3 years working with industrial machinery or CNC machine tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of FANUC, Mitsubishi and Siemens CNC controls.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain CNC machinery and automation equipment.
• Diagnose issues and repair on-site at customer locations nationwide.
• Load, level, wire and calibrate new or relocated CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software and PLC issues to minimize downtime.
• Instruct operators on safe operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Write service reports detailing status, parts used and repairs.
• Assist in stock control of parts and tools.
