Job summary

Cadrex Ossian is seeking a CNC Department Lead to direct and motivate the CNC team, ensuring quality, productivity, safety, and continuous improvement. The role oversees staff, identifies bottlenecks, and collaborates with engineers to resolve fabrication issues.

The successful candidate will manage daily operations, uphold schedules, train new employees, and maintain high-quality output through strong leadership and hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Provide work direction and guidance to other workers and act as supervisor in absence of Production Supervisor.
• Train new and current employees in setup and production processes.
• Read blueprints and interpret drawings for fabrication.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software and CAD drawing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes plans to meet department goals of quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results.
• Oversees CNC department staff to ensure best practices.
• Identifies bottlenecks and equipment issues; trains Operators and Set Up personnel.
• Ensures schedules and customer service requirements are met; coordinates with QA.
