The position includes on-the-job training, collaboration with inspection and quality teams, and ongoing development of machining best practices, with a focus on aerospace forgings and precision parts.

Qualifications

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of all machine shop equipment.
• At least ten years of CNC and conventional setup knowledge.
• Some vocational training in machining and manufacturing.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills.
• First article layout skills.
• Good math skills.
• Experience with ERP software.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to edit and write CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations performed by supervised personnel.
• Review master schedule to optimize on-time delivery.
• Assign tasks based on workload and priorities.
• Direct workflow with tool crib daily to meet OTD goals.
• Approve CNC program updates and maintain files.
• Ensure adherence to process specifications.
• Instruct, train, and motivate machine shop staff.
• Provide coverage for supervisor when needed.
• Contribute to performance evaluations and reports.
• Attend technical meetings as needed.
• Comply with safety rules and company policies.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date with best practices.
