Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks an Applications Engineer to support CNC machining and automation solutions from development to production readiness. You will evaluate customer applications, develop machining processes, and support programming, training, and deployment.

You will also assist with project costing, provide technical guidance to sales, and travel to install and commission systems at customer sites. This role requires strong technical communication and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering or applications experience in CNC machining or automation.
• Experience with CNC metal-cutting machines and related processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, tolerances, and layouts.
• Proven capability to develop CNC programs, tooling strategies, and run-offs.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer parts and requirements to develop CNC machining and automation solutions.
• Conduct applications engineering for CNC machines through programming, training, and production support.
• Develop machining processes addressing quality, cycle time, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and deliver operator, programmer, and maintenance training for customers.
• Support machine prove-out, commissioning, installation, and production launch.
• Provide technical guidance to sales teams during proposals and quoting processes.
• Travel domestically and internationally for installations and troubleshooting.
