Calqulate Metrics Ltd. seeks an experienced CNC Applications Engineering Lead to guide an established applications engineering team in Cincinnati, OH. You will stay close to the machines, develop processes, and drive technical direction and project execution.

The role focuses on mentoring engineers, coordinating complex projects, and setting best practices for applications. Strong CNC background and learning agility are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with CNC metal-cutting equipment.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers and machinists.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Experience leading complex applications projects and coordinating multiple projects.
• Experience with CAM software and offline CNC programming is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for the CNC Applications Engineering team.
• Mentor and develop Applications Engineers, share machining knowledge and best practices.
• Coordinate team workload, customer projects, machine installations, and demonstrations.
• Lead complex applications projects and act as escalation point for tough issues.
• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes, tooling, and workholding strategies.
• Support sales with technical expertise during evaluations and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Engineering, and Product teams to resolve issues.
