Job summary

Normandy Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio is seeking a Transportation Aide – CNA to safely transport residents to appointments and activities while delivering compassionate care. You will drive residents, monitor safety, assist with mobility, observe changes, and report concerns. When not transporting, you may assist with CNA duties in the facility.

A valid Texas CNA certification, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and insurance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Texas CNA certification is required.
• Pass DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
• Complete Employee Driver Proficiency program.
• Demonstrates strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely Transport Residents: Drive residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities.
• Ensure Resident Comfort: Monitor safety and comfort throughout transport.
• Observe & Report: Watch for changes in residents' condition and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with Mobility: Help residents ambulate and transfer using assistive devices and proper technique.
• Monitor Vital Signs: Record vitals when needed during transport.
