Job summary

Heritage House Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Transportation Aide - CNA to safely transport residents to appointments and activities while providing compassionate care. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a TX CNA certification, and the ability to assist with mobility and CNA duties when not transporting.

Ideal candidates are patient, detail-oriented, and able to monitor residents’ safety during transit. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• At least 25 years old (insurance requirement).
• Has a current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
• Can pass the DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
• Completes the Employee Driver Proficiency program.
• Demonstrates strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with caregiving and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely Transport Residents: Drive residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities.
• Ensure Resident Comfort: Monitor safety and comfort during transport.
• Observe & Report: Monitor residents' condition during transport and report concerns.
• Assist with Mobility: Help residents ambulate and transfer using assistive devices.
• Monitor Vital Signs: Record vitals during transport when needed.
• Support the Team: Assist with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents.
