Job summary

Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN/on-call coverage. The role supports residents with daily living activities, monitors vital signs, and collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Virginia CNA license, have completed CNA training, and possess CPR/First Aid certification. Strong communication and reliable scheduling are essential to fit our compassionate, inclusive

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CNA license
• Completed CNA training with at least six months of long-term care experience (preferred)
• Current Adult CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer, math, and problem-solving skills
• Punctual and able to work the full established schedule
• Lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to promote comfort and dignity
• Take and record vital signs and monitor intake/output
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team
• Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records

Requirements

• Active Virginia CNA license

• Completed CNA training (required) with at least six months of experience in long-term care (preferred)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (polished, patient, courteous)

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for
• Taking and recording vital signs and measuring intake and output
• Collaborating with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members
• Documenting resident care and maintaining accurate medical records
