Job summary

Birmingham Green, located in Manassas, Virginia, is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (RN) for a part-time regular role (Fridays and alternating weekends). The Nursing Supervisor will oversee direct nursing care, ensure care plans meet resident needs, and uphold nursing department policies in a person-centered community.

The ideal candidate holds an unencumbered RN license, CPR certification, and at least five years in a long-term care setting, with strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license.
• CPR certification.
• Five years of experience in a long-term care facility.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and other computer skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

We have an amazing opportunity for a Nursing Supervisor that is:

• Responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care
• Assures that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs
• Ensures that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff
• Person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff

Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

• Current unencumbered RN license
• CPR certification
