Job summary

Benchmark at Hamden is hiring a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 1st shift 7a-3p and 2nd shift 3p-11p. Schedule includes Sunday & Monday or Friday & Saturday.

As a CNA, you will deliver care to residents in a warm, home-like environment, assist with daily living activities, and report changes to staff. Prior SNF/ALC experience preferred but not required; dementia care experience desired.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA license is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living is preferred but not required.
• Experience with dementia care is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Document care provided and report changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Utilize customer service skills to ensure residents receive compassionate care.
• Perform other duties as needed.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid CNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
