Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living at Hamden is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Part Time roles on 1st shift (7a-3p) and 2nd shift (3p-11p). Schedules include Sunday & Monday or Friday & Saturday.

You will deliver care in a warm, home-like setting and support residents with daily activities while ensuring safety and dignity. The role requires a valid CNA license; prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living environment is preferred, with dementia care experience

Qualifications

• Valid CNA license required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required.
• Previous dementia care experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care provided and report changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure residents receive meaningful care.
• Perform other duties as needed.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid CNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
