Advocate Health is seeking a nursing assistant for the Med Surg department (IU 3rd Floor) on a full‑time PM shift. The role offers 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays, and a pay range of $20.80 to $31.20 per hour.

The position requires BLS, Nurse Aide registration, and GED/HSED or high school diploma. Strong communication, organization, and basic computer skills are essential.

Competenze

• Certification Addendum required for the position.
• Team members must maintain annual educational requirements for hospital certifications.

Mansioni

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, oral care, feeding, mobility, positioning and transfers.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other data; document in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN; document appropriately.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge; set up rooms and orient patients.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated; ensure proper labeling.
• Run errands, restock nursing areas, and maintain equipment and cleanliness.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers; support nutritional needs and diet setup.
