Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Med-Surg CNA to support patient care across the unit. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, feeding, and monitoring vital signs under RN supervision.

This full-time night shift position offers a $3,500 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a 297-bed hospital recognized for clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

Responsibilities

• If you have recently earned your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License and have no prior experience, Entry-Level CNAs are welcome to apply!
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital

We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA, also referred to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Med-Surg CNA. A Med Surg CNA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg CNA, will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.
