Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical CNA at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. The role supports daily patient care, mobility, feeding and vital signs while assisting nurses and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Support nursing staff with patient care, wound care under RN supervision.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor patient condition changes.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and safe environment.
• Transport patients within the hospital.

We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA, also referred to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Med-Surg CNA. A Med Surg CNA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg CNA, will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

** If you have recently earned your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License and have no prior experience, we encourage you to apply. **Entry-Level CNAs are welcome to apply!

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting

• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN

• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe

• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital

Qualifications

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.

2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

4. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

Facility Specific Requiremets (facility may require items listed below):

• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.
