Job summary

Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, is seeking a Medical Surgical CNA to assist with patient care, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while supporting nurses. Duties include maintaining supplies, wound care assistance, and ensuring a clean, safe environment on med-surg units.

The role requires CNA certification, BLS within 30 days, and knowledge of medical terminology, with preference for at least six months in acute care or a physician’s office.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses; you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.

We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA , also ref erred to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Med-Surg CNA.
