Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered care in our long-term care setting. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you assist with daily living activities, essential health care tasks, and support residents' comfort and safety.

This full-time role requires a CNA certification, high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to infection prevention and respectful, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Completion of yearly department-specific competency testing and maintaining 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions, care outcomes and concerns.
• Assist with meals, dining, and basic health care tasks while maintaining infection prevention practices.
