Job summary

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care in the Williamston area. The role runs Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9am-12:30am and Tue/Thu 11am-3pm, focusing on direct patient care and daily living activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), maintain DFS certification, and demonstrate strong communication, reading/writing, and physical capabilities. Travel within the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to include ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare meals according to client's preferences and diets.
• Provide companionship and activities based on individual needs.
• Light housekeeping as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client's condition.
• Complete EVV task or time sheet as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems.
• Assist independence within client's abilities.
• Perform other duties per care plan.
• Always follow Plan of Care — Never administer medications.
