Job summary

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services is seeking a CNA to provide home care in the Williamston area. The role includes direct patient care, personal hygiene, transfers, and light housekeeping within patients' homes.

Responsibilities cover documentation, following the Plan of Care, and coordinating with supervising staff. A DFS certification and a high school diploma or GED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to include ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care (bathing, shaving, hair care, mouth care).
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervising staff.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities suited to each client.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client's condition.
• Complete EVV tasks/time sheets as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Follow Plan of Care and never administer medications.
