Job summary

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care in the Williamston area. The CNA will work Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9am-12:30am and Tuesday-Thursday 11am-3pm, delivering direct patient care in the client’s residence and documenting care as required.

The role emphasizes personal hygiene assistance, safe transfers, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, and adherence to the Plan of Care.

Qualifications

• Effective communication abilities including reading, writing and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care and daily living activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to the client.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records as required by the agency.
• Record and report changes in client condition.
• Follow EVV time sheet and Plan of Care.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctuality.
• Adhere to client/family values and confidentiality.
• Assist in promoting independence within client abilities.
• Follow the Plan of Care; Never administer medications.
