Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Waldorf, Maryland is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities and promote independence. You will support residents, respond to calls, and participate in community activities while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

The role requires current CNA licensure, good communication, mobility, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers safely.
• Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence.
• Report incidents and document care concerns appropriately.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Assist new residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and communicate status to team.
• Move residents to dining and activities and document in Daily Log.
