Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Bowie, MD is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care and daily living assistance to residents. You will encourage independence, assist with activities, and help plan engaging activities while maintaining confidentiality.

The position requires a current CNA license, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to lift and transfer residents safely. Weekend/holiday flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license in good standing
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Organized and able to work with all personnel
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers
• Able to lift 50 lbs and assist transfers

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Report incidents and document appropriately
• Perform housekeeping and dining area duties as directed
• Respond promptly to calls and emergencies
• Plan and conduct activity programs
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Assist residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support
• Communicate resident status and appointments
• Willing to work weekends and holidays
