Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will help with daily activities, vital signs, and basic health care needs while following infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in CNA certification within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals and dining to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection prevention measures and PPE use; assist with routine care tasks.
