Job summary

The Nursing Assistant role at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, document vital signs, and support hygiene, meals, and mobility while following infection prevention policies and the resident care plan.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• 12 hours of continuing education required annually.
• May require Sanford Category II Driver with driving policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Document resident interactions, vital signs, and care outcomes per care plan.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, mobility, meals, and recreational activities.
• Ensure infection prevention practices and use of PPE.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

High school diploma or GED
