Job summary

St. Luke’s is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator with CNA background to support patient care in our fast-paced emergency department in Nampa, Idaho.

This flex position involves 1 twelve-hour shift per pay period, with variable shifts and shift differentials. You will perform EKGs, collect blood specimens, assist with communication, documentation, and coordination of patient care, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months direct patient care experience.
• EMT or Military Medic background preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs, collect blood specimens, and support patient care activities.
• Coordinate communication and documentation of patient care.
• Support nurses and care teams in a fast-paced emergency environment.

What You Can Expect from This Role

• Comprehensive unit orientation consisting of 4 weeks, with two 12-hour shifts per week during the orientation period

Preferred Qualifications

• EMT experience
• Military Medic experience
• Prior experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy

Experience

• Minimum of 6 months of direct patient care experience required

Licenses/Certifications

• Current CNA Certification in the state of practice
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification
