Job summary

Western Prairie Senior Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect resident care under a licensed nurse’s supervision. You will perform essential tasks including feeding assistance, bathing, grooming, mobility support, and routine vital checks, while maintaining resident dignity and privacy.

The role requires punctuality, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies, with potential shifts including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed to support resident

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CNA certification that is in good standing with the State.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility’s personnel, safety and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, misappropriation of resident property, and social media violations immediately to the Administrator or supervisor.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Must develop and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other departments.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
• Assist in admission and discharge of resident.
• Assist residents in daily oral care.
• Assist residents in bathing functions (bed bath, tub, or shower).
• Assist residents in overall grooming.
• Make beds, changing linens when needed and as scheduled.
• Assist residents in ambulation and mobility.
• Perform and document resident blood pressure, oxygen, temperature, pulse, respirations (TPR), weight, and height measurements.
• Report and document any change observed in a resident’s condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse.
• Prepare residents for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist in feeding and providing fluids, as required.
