Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality daily nursing care to residents in accordance with standards and regulations. You will support ADLs, monitor patient condition, maintain Plan of Care, and help create a warm, safe environment on the unit.

The role requires good English communication, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily resident and patient care according to nursing procedures and as instructed by the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain Plan of Care for resident or patient.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living including personal hygiene, nutrition, hydration, and safety.
• Assist with care of the dying resident and post-mortem care.
• Observe and report skin breakdown and pressure areas.
• Assist with nursing treatments and rehabilitative procedures.
• Create and maintain warmth and calm on the unit.
• Answer resident calls promptly.
• Maintain rooms and equipment in a clean, safe condition; follow infection control practices.
• Attend care conferences and meetings; contribute observations to improve quality and efficiency.
• Record entries in EMR (ADL coding, intake/output, temperatures, weight).
• Report changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Report concerns voiced by residents, patients, or family members.
• All other duties as assigned.
