Job summary

Right at Home is seeking a part-time CNA/PCA caregiver for 4p-6p Monday through Thursday, with ALS experience, to provide compassionate in-home care in the Virginia Beach area. Join a team dedicated to patient-centered care and making a difference in clients' lives.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, medication reminders, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship. Competitive pay and weekly pay with paid training and referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• 6-month of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
• 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance preferred
• Pass a background check
• CNA or HHA license is preferred

Responsibilities

• Feeding, dressing/shaving, medication reminders, and assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Preparing special diets and meals.
• Providing companionship through activities such as reading, music, puzzles.
• Dressing, changing, ambulating and repositioning clients.
• Performing housekeeping tasks: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, dishes, laundry, bathroom.
• Using equipment such as Hoyer lift and sit-to-stand devices.
