Job summary

Right at Home Lexington is hiring CNAs and Personal Care Aides to support seniors and adults with disabilities in Lexington. Join a growing home care team with flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends) and opportunities to make a real difference in clients' daily lives.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and pass a skills test.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• Provide a current negative TB test or Assessment.
• CNA license or Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving client within the home.
• Performing housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Preparing meals and snacks as instructed.
• Accompanying client to errands or medical appointments.
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving with electric razors.
• Medication reminders.
• Assisting with range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

The care you give will be providing personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home

• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom

• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions

• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments

• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving (Electric razors only)

• Medication reminders

• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises

• Dementia care

• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.

• Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs without assistance
