Job summary

Right at Home Darien is seeking CNAs, HHAs, and Companions for hourly and live-in roles to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes and community. The positions emphasize companionship, daily living assistance, meal prep, errands, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate with a desire to help elderly and disabled individuals.
• Self-directed, able to work independently; driver with a car is preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking at required level for the job.
• CNA certificate preferred but not required; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year caregiving/Home Health Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and non-medical support in clients' homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers.
• Prepare meals for clients and assist with errands or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Caring and compassionate and desire to work with the elderly and disabled
• Self-directed, with the ability to work independently, also will need a caregiver that has a car.
• Ability to read, write and speak and understand English as needed for the job
• CNA certificate preferred but not necessary
• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• At least one year of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide preferred
