Job summary

Right at Home, In-Home Care & Assistance is seeking CNAs to join our in-home care team in Florida. You will provide in-home care and support to clients, helping with activities of daily living, mobility, and companionship.

Applicants should have a CNA license or HHA certification, at least 2 years of experience with the elderly, and be prepared for background checks and TB testing. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with elderly or frail population.
• Preferred experience with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
• CNA License or HHA Certification required.
• TB test or Chest X-ray required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care activities to assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, dressing, etc.).
• Assist with ambulation/transfers, meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Offer hospice supportive care and medication reminders as needed.
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises and monitor blood glucose.
• Care for bed-bound patients and provide incontinence care.
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts when needed.

Essential Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

What We Require:

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Pass drug test, criminal background (https://info.flclearinghouse.com), and written competency evaluation.
