Job summary

Serenity Hospice in the Lehigh Valley, PA is hiring Hospice Aides to provide compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill patients in the Allentown area. Work locally with a supportive team focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life, with highly competitive pay and flexible hours.

Under RN supervision you will assist with personal care, observe patients, report findings, and help maintain safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare experience.
• Licensed driver with an automobile insured per state requirements.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to provide specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Observe the patient and report these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications:

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
