Job summary

Serenity Hospice is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate end-of-life care in the Allentown/Lehigh Valley area. Work under a registered nurse to meet patient needs and comfort.

One year of healthcare experience; CNA/HHA certification; valid driver’s license with insured vehicle; understanding of hospice philosophy. Evening and weekend hours available; direct deposit and mileage reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the healthcare industry.
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
• Licensed driver with insured automobile

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Observe the patient and report observations to ensure quality care and safety
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Perform Certified Nursing Assistant duties

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications:

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
